Fantastic GCSE results
Mansil Yoon is delighted with his achievements
Year 11 students at Maria Fidelis celebrated outstanding GCSE results after what has been a particularly challenging two years with significant disruption to their education as a result of lockdowns. 78 per cent of all grades were at level 4 or better, 60 per cent at level 5 or better and 11 per cent at levels 8 and 9.
The headteacher, Mrs Gill, said, “The students should feel incredibly proud of their achievements. They worked really hard and coped admirably in the face of much uncertainty and constant change. Staff worked really hard to make sure that the students continued to receive high quality education throughout, and these results are testament to the huge effort put in by all.”
Amongst those who achieved particularly well are Mansil Yoon, who got 6 level 9s, 3 level 8s and a level 7, Liam Fowkes, who got 6 level 9s, 2 level 8s and 2 level 7s, Jack Minto and Emilia Nzeako, both of whom got 3 level 9s, 4 level 8s and 2 level 7s, and Tamara Donbraye, who got one level 9s, 6 level 8s and 2 level 7s.
