A-Level celebrations at Maria Fidelis

Fantastic results have been achieved again this year.

We are celebrating outstanding A-Level results again this year. 36 per cent achieved A*- A and 76 per cent achieved A*-B. Nearly half of all students will be attending Russell Group Universities in September 2021. Students were able to collect their results in person due to the lifting of Covid restrictions and share their success with friends and teachers.

Emmanuel Pigney, head boy, said “I am really grateful to all the teachers at Maria Fidelis who have helped throughout my time there. It has been a fantastic experience, even during the last years which were particularly difficult for everyone. I am so pleased that I am now going on to university.” Emmanuel will go on to read Mathematics at Lancaster University. Giovanna Motta Maranhao, head girl, said, “The teachers at MF are amazing. I am so happy that I went there and now I am looking forward to going to the university of my choice.” Giovanna will go on to read Neuroscience at Warwick.

Amongst the other successes are Fatehah Jahan, who achieved A*AA and will read Medicine at UCL, Sophie English, who achieved A*A*A and will go on to read Law at Durham, Nabila Jannah who achieved A*A*Distinction and will go on to read Nursing at Kings College London, and Bethlehem Michael, who achieved AAA and will go on to read Data Science at Bristol.

Helen Gill, headteacher, said, “I am immensely proud of all of our students, who have worked incredibly hard over the last year in very challenging circumstances. I am also grateful to all the staff who have supported the students during this challenging time and to the Sixth Form team who went the extra mile to ensure that the students in their care were given all the guidance and support they needed to achieve as well as they have done.”
