Latest updates for 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

Yesterday afternoon I was informed by the government that face coverings would have to be worn again in corridors and other communal areas in schools. They are not required in classrooms at the moment but your child may wear one if they wish; I will keep you updated of any changes to this advice. Please check your child has a face covering with them every day from tomorrow; they are also required to wear them in shops and on public transport.

Please do not send your child to school if they have any cold or flu like symptoms. Keep them at home and book a PCR test. Continuing lateral flow testing every Wednesday and Sunday will also help us to keep infection rates under control and everyone safe. Inform us immediately of any positive results, so we can test your child's contacts in school.

I am sorry we are having to go back to these restrictions and I know how stressful it can be for families when cases are rising. Thank you very much for all your support and patience so far, it is much appreciated. Let's do everything we can to keep everyone as safe as we can. You are all in my prayers.

Take care and keep safe.

Kind regards,

Covid Testing

Dear Parents and Carers,

Please can you remind your child to continue with twice weekly testing, with each test separated by at least 3 days; it is a good idea to stick to the routine of Wednesday and Sunday evenings.

Results should be uploaded onto the two following platforms:
If a positive result is returned on the home test then a PCR test should be arranged via the NHS and your child should remain at home until the result of that test is received. If this result is negative your child can return to School. If it is positive they should remain at home and the household should follow the government guidance on isolation. Please notify us of any positive results by contacting the school office on 020 7387 3856 or email office@mariafidelis.camden.sch.uk

Kind regards
