Ms Sanusi, Head of Sixth Form

Maria Fidelis Sixth Form is a small and friendly sixth form, located in the heart of London.  Easily accessible by rail, underground and bus, it is the perfect location for many of our students.

We are a very academic Sixth Form with a focus on traditional subjects. Our highly experienced and qualified A-level teachers provide our students with an invaluable learning experience. All Sixth Formers are  expected to commit to 15-20 hours per week of additional study outside of their lessons, with a dedicated Library and study centre to help make this possible.

In our 2021 A-level results, our students achieved a 100% pass rate; 37% of grades were A*-A and 76% A*-B, with students gaining places at Durham, Kings, Bristol, UCL, Warwick and many others.

We encourage our Sixth Form students, whether joining us from our own year 11 cohort or external schools, to become a part of the wider community. This is done by our Sixth Formers undertaking two hours of community service per week.  With help from the Sixth Form team to organise this activity, community service can take the form of mentoring or tutoring younger students to organising charity events and  co-ordinating interhouse competitions.

In our 2016 Ofsted inspection, the school was rated ‘GOOD’ with the inspectors having the following to say about the Sixth Form: “Sixth Form students are…inspirational role models for younger pupils. Leaders ensure that students receive helpful training and support. Students…attend quiet study periods during the school week and are assigned academic mentors to support them to make the best use of this time. Students report that this routine is helping them to be more responsible, independent and successful Sixth Formers.”

We also offer a range of enrichment activities, both in-house and through our partnerships with external providers, universities and charities.  These include Deloitte, UCL, KCL, Urban Partners and Eurostar (more about which you can read here).

Our Sixth Form team is extensive and dedicated to helping you get the best out of your studies.  Academic and pastoral support mentors allow students to be supported in every facet of their study with us. There is also a bursary scheme to help students suffering from financial hardship to access school life as fully as possible.

Please do not hesitate to approach a member of the Sixth Form team should you have any further questions, or contact us.
