Laudato Si' Week

We celebrated Laudato Si' week from the 16th-24th May.   Pope Francis’ encyclical 'The Way we Care for our Common Home' was being promoted and celebrated around the world.

As a school community we are called to promote being a good companion to others through being  a good steward of the world and  looking at how we care for our neighbour and our local and global environment.   In RE lessons pupils participated in promoting Laudato Si'.  As a school community we also planted a lemon tree.  The lemon tree is a symbol of hope by the early Christians.  The lemon tree gave them hope for the future and other things that lie ahead of them in life.

When we planted the lemon tree, thuis ws a symbol for us to look forward to a better year ahead for each and everyone of us.
